The Tanzania Tourist e-Visa is generally issued as an Ordinary Visa for eligible visitors travelling for tourism, holidays, leisure, or similar permitted activities. The Ordinary Visa allows a single entry and has a validity of up to 90 days. Travellers should prepare their passport details, a passport photograph, return ticket, and the required visa fee before applying. US passport holders travelling for tourism are required to apply for a Multiple Visa instead of an Ordinary Visa. If your trip includes both Tanzania Mainland and Zanzibar, you do not need a separate visa for each destination. Simply indicate your first destination during the application.
